Welcome to Oak Knoll Lodge

Oak Knoll Lodge, nestled at 949 Tulip Ln in the serene Big Bear Lake, California, offers guests a rustic retreat surrounded by nature's calm. This lodge appeals to travelers seeking a simple, down-to-earth escape close to popular spots like Pine Knot Trail and Aspen Picnic Area.

While the lodge holds a modest rating of 2.4, it carries a genuine charm that resonates with visitors looking to unwind in a peaceful setting. Guests appreciate the spacious rooms equipped with kitchens, making it ideal for those who prefer home-cooked meals over dining out, especially since no on-site restaurant or breakfast service is available.

The amenities cater to practical needs with free Wi-Fi, free parking, and accessibility features, alongside a pet-friendly environment, making it a convenient choice for varied traveler types. The outdoor pool invites a refreshing dip, though the absence of air conditioning suggests a more natural, cabin-like experience rather than a modern luxury one.

Reviews reflect a mix of physical wear and sincere hospitality. Hollyn Heron highlights the comforting beds, hot tubs, and flexibility with early check-in—elements that made her stressful weeks melt away. Jonathan Espedal notes the great service provided by nearby Golden Bear Cottages and the excellent location, even if the cabin itself showed signs of age.

Exploring Big Bear Lake from Oak Knoll Lodge offers plenty for outdoor enthusiasts — hiking, sightseeing, and golf within reach, enhancing its appeal for visitors eager to connect with the landscape. The lodge’s smoke-free policy further ensures a clean environment amidst the pine-scented air.

In essence, Oak Knoll Lodge exudes an honest, back-to-basics charm that may not boast luxury but offers warmth, nature, and dependable hospitality. It holds particular value for those who embrace simplicity and seek respite in the quiet embrace of Big Bear's woods.

Loved this place! I had an awful few weeks and needed to relax and this place delivered! Not only was the bed relaxing, the tub nice and hot, but they allowed me an early check in when I told them how long I've been on the road. Definitely coming back.

Great location next to pine knot trail and the Aspen picnic area. Also a good ways off of the main road big bear blvd. It was a very run down cabin though but service (at golden bear cottages) was great.
